I’ve been browsing a lot of blogs lately and I’ve noticed a very large amount of P@id posts or “Sponsored Reviews”. I understand the want to make money and I’m not against making money with a blog, but where do you draw the line? I like to read blogs for real opinions but when I see a blog with every other post being a p@id post, I don’t know if I want to read that.
Am I being to negitive? or...well what do you think?

I'm with you...I don't mind a few p@id posts when it really seems to fit with the blog, but not every other post. You wonder if they would write about anything just to make money. That's why I haven't tried any paid posts. I want people to trust what I'm writing...not just think that I'm out to make money.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I tried it on one of my old blogs and I had thought about it on this blog, but I just don't think it's for me. My trustworthyness (I'm sure that's not a real word) is more important than money.

It sort of depends on how well the paid posts are written and if they fit will with the primary theme of that particular blog. Some paid posts are definitely written better than others!

Hi. Cute blog. I love make up & girlie things too. I'm visiting from the Mom blogger's group.
I agree with you on this too. I think it's great if you can make money on your blog but that isn't what I want to read really. I don't know how to comment or respond to those posts either.
I agree that the paid posts can be annoying and kind of make the reader question the writer's intentions. I think you have to be a very talented blogger to incorporate paid posts into a blog and make everything seamless.
I thought about this for a while and my conclusion was that I subscribe to between 5 and 10 magazines. I love reading them, and they are loaded with ads. And many of the articles review products or websites or what have you. That doesn't annoy me, and I've found many good products from them. It's not really different with a blog, IMO. I don't mind someone getting paid to review a site or product. I've actually used some of the things I've read about. (I love VRBO.com and I'm going to order from Zenni.com) I do agree though that some blogs can get spammy. A few extra posts between would be nice! lol!
I have 4 blogs and do paid posts on 1 of them. I'm very picky the ones I do and have gone months without doing one. I only choose paid posts I have had personal experience with or a strong opinion of and I can fit into my writing style. I'm not going to promote a site for credit cards for $5 when I don't or won't support that type of site. (my personal opinion, getting credit cards is too easy and causes too many problems for some people).
I also agree that seeing a blog loaded with ads and paid posts is a turn off. I like that I have regular visitors and subscribers to my blogs and I don't want to do anything to offend them.
I have contemplated stopping the paid posts but then figure, what difference does it make if I'm so picky and don't do a lot of them anyway.
