Going Vegan

My best friend has been Vegan for about a year now. People give her a lot of crap for it. They don't understand that it is her choice and they want to make her change her eatting habbits. If you don't know what Vegan is, it's a way of eatting that excluded any animal product what soever. Not just eatting, but in everyday life too. I think it's great. I've been a vegitarian for a few months and am now going vegan. I'm very excited for it. I could go on and tell you why I'm doing it but if you really want to know just google it. Someone has already done a great job at explain ing the lifestyle.

Weekend Mom

God I hate that terms Weekend Parent, Weekend Dad, and Weekend Mom. I’m not just a Weekend Mom; I’m a mom all the time. I just see my girls on the weekends. It’s not how I want it, but it’s what’s best for the girls. They live with their dad during the week; he does not work and lives at his sisters. He has a room there for him and the girls; their school and after school activities are all in that town. The girls have a good life set up there. I live in a small one bedroom apt in the next city over. Once my lease is up I hope to move in to a bigger place to give my girls a room of their own. I work 40+ hours a week and I go to school. I’m trying to better myself for them. We tried doing 50/50, but on my weeks I had to get the girls up way to early to run them back to their dad’s house so I could get to work and they could get to school. I did not mind doing that but the girls did not like it. They need to be on a good schedule and that was not helping.

If I wanted to be the custodial parent I would have to take the girls out of school and move them to a new school in my city. That’s not fair to them. I’d also be paying an arm and a leg for daycare for before and after school care. I make just over the income limit from any help from the state for help with childcare, or food assistance. Basically I’d have to quit my job to be able to take care of them full time. It’s ridiculous.

All I want to do is be the best mom I can for my girls. I’m doing what works for us. Don’t judge me, I won’t judge you.

Randomness

randomtuesday

Ah it’s random Tuesday. Awesome, now for some randomness from me that just won’t fit in to a post of its own.

  • I stink. No really, right now I stink. I got home from work a bout an hour ago and I really think I could use a shower. Hey I work hard people, don’t judge me lol.
  • My friend whom I love has turned Vegan and is having a B-day party on Sat. Her vegan guy friend is making her a vegan carrot cake, with vegan cream cheese frosting. I’m sorry, I love her and I have nothing against being vegan, in fact I love a good vegan or vegetarian dish, I grew up that way, BUT some things you can not make work, IMO. Cream Cheese frosting being one of them. I don’t know maybe I will love it and it will be my new fave. We will see.
  • I really hope I have enough money this weekend to take the kids to the rodeo and fair.

Hmmmmmm…….yaaaaa…wellll that’s all I can think of right now, plus like I said I need to go shower….Seee ya!

I'm addicted to Facebook

Hi my name is Cinnamon and I'm a Facebook addict. I love Facebook! At first I liked myspace better. With myspace I could make a really cool background and with Facebook I couldn't figure a thing out. Then I started finding more and more friends on Facebook and I started particepating in quizes and apps like "send a hug". Now I'm playing Vampire Wars and Sirority life and I can't get enugh! I've added randome poeple to be my friend so my "clan" and "house" and get bigger and I can win more battles. Oh my, it's way to much fun.... my husband saw a clip on the news for a rehab center for people addcted to the internet. I think he might be secretly planing on sending me there, lol.

The Future is Now

I've always thought the neatest thing would to be able to talk to my computer and have it type out what I say.  As it turns out technology has advanced to the point where that dream is becoming a reality.  A few months ago I bought a new computer with Microsoft Vista, I also bought a software program that was speech recognition, so that I could do just that, talk and have it type for me.  As it turns out I got the product home, after looking at it and seeing that was OK for Microsoft Vista to put it in.  Then a window said is not compatible with Microsoft Vista 64.  Well crap and that's what I have, vista 64, so I spent almost a hundred bucks on a product that I can't return. I see it's good for Windows XP.  I can't do that because the disk is a DVD rom disk not a CD-ROM my computer does not have a DVD rom.  So months go by, I'm surfing the web is usual looking at the voice recognition software thinking there may be a free one I can download.  I still have the headset.  I find out that Microsoft Vista has that program or a program like it already built in.  How cool is that.  So now I've looked in my computer found the program,.  Seems pretty easy.  I talk in headset and words come upon the screen.  The only problem with it is that it doesn't know my voice yet.  So  I can sit here and talk to it, but it doesn't recognize every word I say, but the more talk to it and the more it correct it, the better it knows my voice.  I already did my homework using it today it took a little while but I got it done.  And now I figure I test it out for my blog here and see what I can get it to do.  Already as I talk I can see many things, that I have to correct, course you don't see them as by now,  it's already been corrected. (at least I think I got them all)

PS.  I wouldn't ask this program out while drinking.  Slurred speech does not equal good  voice recognition.  Although I've only had two shots of Amaretto, and I think I did pretty good. lol

I miss staying at home

There are days when I miss being a stay at home mom, but it's just not something I can do right now. My husband and I are back together but our living situation is still upside down. Plus I'm bringing in the larger share of money. Also I'm proud of myself for how far I've come at my job. I just made the apprenticeship and that is a big deal to me and my family.

In my ideal world my hubby would make the money and I'd stay at home and bake cookies, but that's just not going to happen.
